About MFI
The Mediation Foundation of Ireland (MFI) has been established to provide excellence in mediation services - from resolving disputes to training mediators. MFI is made up of a core team of trained mediators with national and international accreditation. We have available to us a panel of trained mediators so that we can competently and confidently meet your needs in the area of mediation.

The Mediation Foundation of Ireland fully subscribes to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators and that of the Mediators Institute of Ireland.
Unique Approach
The Mediation Foundation of Ireland has developed a range of mediation approaches that draw from all the major perspectives on mediation to provide you with the most effective approaches to dealing with your conflict. In particular MFI has developed two core mediation tools entitled the Mediation Cycle© and the Four F's© of the mediation conversation that enable mediators follow a proven and successful mediation process.
The MFI Partners
Luke Monahan
Luke is accredited with the Mediation Training Institute in the USA and the Mediation Institute of Ireland, with expertise in resolving workplace conflict, leadership development and mediation training. Luke has consulted to organisations on four continents. He has two masters' degrees in leadership and has specialisations in change management, leadership excellence, conflict and mediation.
He has carried out extensive research into the culture of organisations and how to effect positive change throughout an organisation. He has developed accredited courses in education through Trinity College, University College Dublin and NUI Maynooth. He is widely published and a frequent contributor to national and international conferences.

Tony Bourke
Tony specialises in the areas of management training, coaching and mediation. He is accredited as a mediator with the Mediators Institute of Ireland. Tony has degrees in Chemisty, Education and IT and has held senior management positions in SME and multinational companies.
Tony has worked in Africa and the UK and trained people in Europe, South Africa and Australia. In 2010 he obtained FETAC certification for his training.

Conor O'Brien
Conor brings a broad range of experience from the fields of both education and the business world. Having served on the first Board of Management in 1988 in Templeogue College and taught there for seventeen years, he transferred to the private sector in 1998. He was director of Accounting support services with the multi national professional services firm Mazars for five years before being appointed director of the Christian Brothers Education office at St. Helens in Blackrock in 2005.
As director he played a key role in sourcing, appointing and training boards of management in 76 schools in the St. Helens network while also dealing with contentious issues at board and school level including staff conflict, rationalisations and school closures. He played a central role in planning for the establishment of the new charitable trust structure ERST which took ownership and responsibility of the Christian Brothers schools in 2008. He currently works in the tax department of a legal firm in Smithfield in Dublin.
